First time your TRVLinspirator went to this typical Spanish grill restaurant was already a few years ago, now it’s one of the frequently visited restaurants of us.
Don’t be afraid when you arrive, it doesn’t look modern or classy but the food & service are top class! The first part of the restaurant is a typical tapas area, high tables, a bit noisy and all kinds of great small bites. It’s also a good place to watch a nice game of football on their big screen. Further down is the more ‘formal’ restaurant area with his open grill kitchen view.
TRVLinspirator has two words for you in this venue: MEAT & RED WINE. The Chuleton is really truly amazing, full of flavor. If you are a Spanish wine lover you won’t be disappointed. Simply ask the Maître d’ for a wine suggestion and you will appreciate it, surely because they have fair and reasonable prices for their wines.
Open Monday-Sunday 13.00-16.00h. / 20.00-00h.

Nolita (Burger) Bar
This is a cosy bar where you will have a home-sweet-home feeling and the perfect place for after-dinner drinks. Every Friday it’s very busy and it will bring you into a great party mood for the weekend.

If you want to experience the real Belgian hospitality this is the place to be. The owners Michel and Cristine are the best in giving you a warm welcome every time you visit Macaao Beach. We see this venue more as a sophisticated chiringuito with beach club prices.
Macaao beach is serving a combination of French/ Belgium cuisine. The professional chef is working very constant and creates reliable suggestions apart from the menu. The salads are also nice to order as a main course and when it’s hard to choose don’t hesitate to ask Michel for his personal and trustful advice.
On the Costa del Sol it’s always sunny and at Macaao you have the most beautiful view of Gibraltar and Morocco from the terrace. The single sun beds and service on the beach will give you the total Macaao experience. During high season they also serve dinner.
Open Monday-Saturday 10.30-22.30h. (The kitchen is closed between 17.00-19.30h)

Bar Bistro El Vecino
This is a bar, sunny terrace and bistro managed by a Spanish/ Dutch team where you can have dinner or just drinks. TRVLinspirator is in love with this location, San Pedro town square is cozy and always alive. The huge palm trees in front of the beautiful church are giving you the real vacation experience.
Their menu is uncomplicated, good for a quick bite and we prefer to have a drink and the Dutch snack mix or juicy spare ribs! It’s constantly busy and their staff is always friendly.
Open 7 days a week from 5pm till late
Address: Plaza de Inglesia 2, San Pedro de Alcántara
Highly recommended for the authentic traditional Spanish cuisine with meat as their specialty but also different sorts of fresh fish. Restaurant Alfredo is always good and busy but with short waiting times.
This no-nonsense and basic restaurant is well known by many tourists and local residents. Don’t expect a stylish modern interior, here you will see the originally classic Spanish design with lots of light, cows heads and old pictures on the wall. The people who are working there for many years are super friendly.
Alfredo’s price-quality rate is excellent and the kitchen works steady. TRVLinspirator recommends this restaurant for its low-priced decent red wines and good quality meat.
Open Monday-Sunday 12.00-02.00h.
Adress: Calle Andalusia, local 8, San Pedro de Alcántara
One of TRVLinspirators favourite bars and always a great pleasure to visit!!
The very friendly and professional bartenders will make you a fantastic cocktail, gin tonic or anything you fancy. The owner is well known in San Pedro and will treat you like a king.
Inside you can relax on one of the sofas or have a good conversation at the beautiful authentic bar, outside you find the terrace that is perfect for long evenings when it’s too hot to sleep anyway. The ambience is always lively and it’s a good bar to experience the local atmosphere from San Pedro.
Open 7 days a week from 17.00-04.30h. Address: Calle Andalucia 8, San Pedro de Alcántara
Cozy local bar in the main shopping street of San Pedro. Successfully managed by 2 Dutch brothers, Jeroen & Jasper.
El Marqués serves an international menu and is known for their chef’s specials. Perfect for your cold beer and quick snack. TRVLinspirator always has a look in their small wine & oil shop next door as well.
Address: Calle Marqués del Duero 50, 29670 San Pedro de Alcántara
This restaurant is nice for fine-dining. The Belgian chef Alex, is really one of the best in town. The menu is rather small – 4 starters, 4 main courses and a few desserts – but changes quite often and keeps surprising you. Very cosy setting with a little terrace in front. Only five minutes away from Puerto Banús (Exit Benahavis)
Cafe Belga has found its perfect location in the main street of San Pedro de Alcantara. There is a sunny terrace and inside dining area with low and high tables. The tapas and Belgian specialties are fantastic combine this with one of the 100 different kind of beers and your lunch or dinner is complete. The owners are from Brussel and they know exactly what they’re doing. We definitely recommend the steak tartare, mussels pil pil, vol au vent, croquettes, patatas bravas and a waffle for dessert.
(Kitchen) Open: Monday – Saturday 13.00-16.00, 19.00-23.00. Address: Avenida Marqués del Duero 71, San Pedro de Alcántara
There are many Italian restaurants on the Costa del Sol but this one we can recommend if your are looking for fine dining Italian cuisine. Sophisticated interior, professional service and excellent chef. There are not many people (yet) who know this restaurant but that doesn’t mean anything. Start your lunch or dinner with a nice Aperol Spritz and finish your meal with Tiramisu. The specials are always interesting but the a la carte menu is also very good.
El Ancla beach club and restaurant
This venue has it all: first line sea view, swimming pool, kids club, shop, bar, restaurant and they also provide towels with their sun beds. Sublime if you are looking for a seafood lunch or dinner but they also offer delicious meat dishes. We suggest to share the food so you can try more!
Hustle n’ Flow Eatery
Hustle n’ Flow is on our TOP 5 BREAKFAST list! This is the kind of down town place where everybody is taking pictures of their food and the service is amazing.
We’ve enjoyed the cosmopolitan atmosphere while sipping a “Tropical state of mind” smoothie and eating a great “Morning glory” breakfast. You should also try their fresh mint, ginger and lemon tea and we are definitely going back to have waffles or cheesecake or banoffee… Hustle n’ Flow is a place for the everyday hustler to escape the daily grind.
To seek inspiration and refuel, feeding both body and mind. Enjoy!
